THIS IS A RECENT POST FROM SOMEONE NAMED PHIL-

I still say you were probably the little nerd who got wedgied at lunch every day and are just out for revenge of some sort. As for polls, numbers come and go. Something great happens and he’s numbers could climb back to where they were a year ago when he won the election. As for the 2% rating, do you really want to go there? Phil

mike responds- FOR YOUR INFORMATION PHIL, IT WASN”T “EVERY” DAY.

How about this for a cartoon idea, Mike? Presidents Bush and Clinton together touting their accomplishments while in office, with the liberal media as judge:

Bush: “I liberated 30 million people in Afghanistan and 26 million people in Iraq from brutal dictatorships and helped the people in these countries to have the first democratic elections in history.”

Clinton: “I liberated a fugitive tax evader.”

Media: “No contest. It took real courage to pardon Marc Rich.”

Does it make you feel any better knowing that while George “liberated” 26 million people in Iraq, he kill 25,000 of them in the process?

Some liberation. Call the dead, “Liberated from Life”.

BTW, where’s bin Laden?

The “Reason” for the war…WMD…NOT Liberation of Oppression….geeeez people, “W” is stupid and barely has command of the English Language….it is an embarrament to the USA, every time he speaks on the world stage….

W is an embarrment. you can’t even spell. It is people like you that just irk me to death. When you go after someone and try to make them seem like an idiot, try not to sound like an idiot yourself.

Hey Wally, All I am guilty of is A) poor typing skills and B) not spell checking…perhaps as an obvious W supporter you would like to go to Iraq and support your President and his mission….

Best ever, Luckovich, this invisible ‘toon. Not a line in sight. Does this mean you are coming up with a clean slate? Maybe even a conservative one? No? Don’t blame you. I wouldn’t want to lose my job either. Besides, poor old conservatives would fall over in shock at your “conversion”. But give it a try. We can take it.

Hi Mike, I think it’s great you opened up this forum. As a liberal, I like reading the opposing POV. However, I don’t understand the claim there is a diffence between Liberals and Conservatives vs Democrates and Republicans seeing right wing Conservative pundits have led a campaign to label Democrates as Liberals. And “Liberals” is code for Un-American, heathen, pro-abortion, gay loving, welfare givers. Also, isn’t faith based politics like Islam? Follw our religion & politics or it’s “Jihad”? As opposed to the founding fathers who were wisely concerned about separation of Church and State?

Hey Mike, love the cartoons - keep kicking away. The ammunition is endless. This guy is ABSOLUTELY the worst president ever. How do you top Nixon (geez -that takes talent)?! On another note, I’m a member of the 98% of African Americans that feels the guy is a bust. So to Phil, let’s go ahead and go there. I dare ya….Recall Bush 06..Put that in ya tank.

Mike Luckovich, I’m a 17 year old son of Pakistani muslim immigrants. My sis works for the wonks at Homeland Security in Atlanta, and I am on our neocon-lover US Representative Tom Price’s “Youth Advisory Council.”

I’ve always considered myself to be to the Left — definitely further left than a Kerry or a Dean.

And I admire your work for its grassroots populism and its committment to democracy. You don’t just take a DNC line or a Bush line and try to spin it as the truth.

It is people with your committment, talent, and ingenuity that are integral to rejuvinating a democracy which has been stolen by billionaires and their interests.

Don’t let the random emails of haters annoy you. You are a brilliant man who amuses hundreds of thousands of people every day.

And if you continue to raise your voice to Power, to tell it that it can’t abuse our civil liberties, or murder 100,000 people, or further concentrate wealth while tens of millions of Americans live in poverty, then you are an asset and advantage this country and the world has in its favor in the never-ending struggle for a greater good.

Allah Bless you and continue the good work!

Since Hussein is being prosecuted for killing several hundred Shias because they tried to kill him, perhaps a comment should be made about George W being responsible for the deaths of thousands of Iraqis and American troops because Hussein tried to kill his Daddy.

From RW (the original) You guys really suck at this blogging thing, Mike. The first day you give out everyones e-mail addresses and now you let morons duplicate screen names.

To the idiot that thinks he’s on a chat line instead of a blog. No one is ‘copying’ your screen name. They are my initials, moron! Go get a life. You are pitiful

I see a large face,W, and a small Cheney behind a screen ” Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.” W is, as noted above the worst. I hope I can live to read a history book 50 years from now. If is wasn’t so painfully real it would be the highest rated comedy on TV. It all makes me ashamed to be an American. The humor you generate gives hope and at least a glimmer of hope that sanity will return.

Since W loves comparing the US constitutional process to Iraq, I suggest this for a pro W cartoon. Since we had 150 years of self governance, and it took 13 years for the process to play out, it would take Iraq 200 years to get a constitution. Have a criogenic(sp) W shaking hands with Ahmed Chalabis frozen corpse on Mars, with the caption :Chally, your doing a heckuva job!”

I agree that the Whitehouse’s reasons for going to war in Iraq were unjustified; however, when I see pictures of free Iraqis with their thumbs painted blue leaving the voting booths, it makes me feel as though what we are doing over there has great significance.

Although I am a Bush supporter, I do not agree with everything that he does or says. NO president has ever been perfect, and yes Bush has made many mistakes, but I do believe that a Democratically controlled America would be far worse that were we are today.
