Several high school athletes are recovering from minor injuries after a tow truck collided with a bus carrying the Cedartown High School wrestling team Tuesday night.

The Rome News-Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/sbkAkd) that the tow truck struck the team's bus as it headed back from a Tuesday match at Sonoraville High School in Calhoun. Authorities say the accident happened shortly before 9 p.m. at the intersection of the Rome Bypass and Georgia Highway 53.

Emergency Management Services Director Bobby Bates said 12 to 15 of the passengers on the wrestling team's bus sustained minor injuries.

Authorities say the driver of the tow truck sustained cuts on his face.
