The partner of a man shot to death while repossessing a car remains in critical condition at Grady Memorial Hospital.

Willie Thackston, 36, was shot early Thursday morning. As of 8 pm. Sunday, he was still in the Intensive Care Unit, a Grady spokeswoman said.

Thackston, of Rydal, was wounded and Brandon Thomas, 27, of Kennesaw was killed as they towed a 2004 Ford Mustang from a south Fulton County home Thursday.

Police said Justin Moore, 29, fired shots from inside the house and then followed in a van when the repo men drove away. Police found Thomas dead and Thackston wounded near the tow truck.

Police are looking for Moore, who is charged with murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

The Mustang was found Thursday night behind a warehouse on Aviation Boulevard in Clayton County.
