Woman caught stealing 12 sticks of deodorant

If you're going to steal deodorant, it really stinks to get caught. An Athens woman learned that the hard way.

The 36-year-old picked up a prescription at an Alps Road drug store, the proceeded to fill her bag with 12 sticks of deodorant Friday afternoon, the Athens Banner-Herald reported.

The store manager watched as the woman, whose name was not released, grabbed eight sticks of Dove deodorant and four sticks of Degree, according to the report.

The man called police after grabbing the bag of deodorant from the woman, who left the store.
