A White County man was found dead Tuesday evening, pinned beneath an overturned all-terrain vehicle in Cleveland, authorities said.

White County coroner Ricky Barrett said Perry Wayne Shirley, 43, of Cleveland was riding the four-wheeler in a lumber yard on Holiness Campground Road when the vehicle went off a 25-foot bank, landing on top of Shirley.

Barrett said the accident apparently happened on Monday night, but Shirley's body wasn't discovered until 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The body was sent to the GBI for an autopsy, Barrett said.
