Atlanta weather | Warmer temps coming soon

By Alexis Stevens

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

After a chilly, cloudy start, Thursday will see sunny skies and mild temperatures.

Metro area temperatures were in the low to mid-40s to start the day, but sunshine will help things warm, Channel 2 Action News Chief Meteorologist Glenn Burns said.

“It should be a beautiful, beautiful autumn day,” Burns said.

High temperatures should reach the upper 50s Thursday afternoon, Burns said. Friday is expected to be even warmer, with high temperatures reaching 60 degrees, he said.

There is a slight chance of rain on Saturday and Sunday, Burns said.
