Atlanta weather: Chilly, sunny start for commuters

By Fran Jeffries

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Expect a chilly, sunny start to your work week Monday as low temperatures hang in the mid 40s in metro Atlanta and the upper 30s in the suburbs, according to Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brad Nitz.

Then the clouds are going to move in, Nitz said.

“With mostly sunny skies, we’ll warm up pretty quickly for the first few hours, but clouds will start to increase later in the day,” Nitz said. “That’ll hold our high temps down into the 60s.” Expect Monday’s high to reach 63 and the low to be 44, Nitz said.

The clouds will continue to increase ahead of our next chance for rain, which will be Tuesday, Election Day, Nitz said. Tuesday’s rainy high will be 56 and the low will be 49.

Sunshine should return on Wednesday, but the chill will remain.
