Louisiana State Police shut down the Sunshine Bridge, and inspection crews are evaluating whether the cantilever bridge, which crosses the Mississippi River near Donaldsonville and has been infamously dubbed “the bridge to nowhere,” has sustained any damage, the television station reported.

It is unknown who was operating the tugboat pulling the crane, WAFB reported.

The barge was stuck under the bridge, the television station reported.

The bridge was built in 1963 and opened the following year.
