Motorcyclist broke leg in crash with MARTA bus

A motorcyclist was injured in a crash with a MARTA bus, according to the transit agency.

A motorcyclist suffered a broken leg and a MARTA bus driver was ticketed when the bus hit the motorcycle near Georgia Perimeter College in DeKalb County.

The incident happened about 6:40 a.m. Wednesday after the motorcyclist pulled in front of the route No. 34 bus at Clifton Springs and Panthersville roads, according to MARTA. 

The motorcyclist was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, MARTA spokeswoman Stephany Fisher told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The bus driver and two people on the bus at the time of the crash were not injured.

However, the bus driver was ticketed for failure to yield, Fisher said.

No other details were released.
