Election traffic: Big delays after metro area crashes

Georgians who waited to cast their ballots on Election Day may find themselves fighting traffic through poll closing.

6:12 p.m. A disabled Jeep was causing delays on I-75 north of Mount Paran Road.



5:45 p.m.: A crash in Fulton County was cleared from I-75 southbound near Howell Mill Road. Delays were still being reported near Moore's Mill Road. 

5:27 p.m.: A crash is blocking two left lanes of I-85 northbound before Pleasantdale Road. Delays stretch all the way back in to Midtown.

5 p.m.: Three people were critically injured after a single car crash on 85 near Pointe South Parkway in Clayton County just after 5 p.m. Roads were blocked off for a helicopter that flew one person to a nearby hospital, Clayton County police spokeswoman Ashanti Marbury said.

All lanes were being held on I-75 southbound in Cobb County just after 5 p.m. to clear a crash.

A stall in the right lane of the northbound side and a crash in the left lane of the southbound side had I-75 tied up in Cobb County about 4:30 p.m. and delays were still being reported shortly before 5 p.m.

A crash on the Downtown Connector left lingering delays before Fulton Street and left delays near I-20.
