Gwinnett highway shut down for nearly 2 hours after deadly crash

A person was killed in a two-car crash that shut down both sides of Lawrenceville Highway for nearly two hours Thursday, Gwinnett County police said.

Lanes reopened about 9:10 a.m., according to the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center.

The crash happened east of Jimmy Carter Boulevard about 7:30 a.m., the Traffic Center reported.

No other details were released.
