Top 25 Georgia high schools by average SAT scores

Georgia's average score on the SAT college admissions exam fell for the third consecutive year, according to results released Aug. 25, 2009.

The state's results dropped by six points to 1,460. The national average decreased by two at 1,509 -- 49 points higher than Georgia's average, according to the College Board, which administers the test. A perfect score is 2,400.

Out of the top 25 schools in the state by average SAT scores, Fulton County features five in the top ten. Magnet schools also do particularly well in the top 25 list.
