1. Trump addresses NRA convention in Atlanta. President Donald Trump repeated many of his tried-and-true favorites from the campaign trail to a friendly crowd at the National Rifle Association's annual meeting. Outside the Georgia World Congress Center, scores of protesters welcomed him. 2. 11Alive's Valerie Hoff resigns after N-word Twitter exchange. The veteran reporter resigned Friday, two weeks after she jokingly used the N-word – the version with an "a" at the end of it – in a private message to a black man on Twitter that he publicized. [Read more.]

3. Tanger Outlet shooting suspect killed by wounded FBI agent. The man suspected of shooting a Banks County deputy in Commerce earlier this week was shot and killed by an FBI agent Friday in southwest Atlanta, FBI spokesman Stephen Emmett said. [Read more.]

4. Four more arrests made in high-end prostitution ring. The additional arrests are the most recent in a months-long investigation that has brought down a Gwinnett County prosecutor and 55 other people, Dunwoody police said Friday. [Read more.]
