A 16-year-old girl died from injuries she received in a four-car crash near Gainesville.

Hall County Coroner Marion Merck said the girl, Alesha Mote, died Tuesday night, according to accessnorthga.com.

Mote was one of seven people, including her parents, who were injured when a pickup truck crossed the center line of Browns Bridge Road and struck a Ford Escort Tuesday morning.

The pickup was driven by 33-year-old Jason Greer.

Police said the Escort was driven by James Daniel Mote, 39, of Gainesville. Mote’s wife, Jennifer Dawn Mote, 35, of Gainesville and Alesha were passengers in the Escort.

After Greer’s truck collided with the Escort, the truck rolled over and struck a minivan. Debris from the truck struck another car, injuring its 18-year-old driver.

No charges have been filed but the investigation is continuing.
