Tech's Dwyer is Kiper's top NFL RB prospect
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
During a chat on ESPN.com Wednesday, NFL draft analyst Mel Kiper reiterated that he thought A-back Jonathan Dwyer, a junior, was the best pro prospect of any running back in the junior and senior classes:
“Jonathan Dwyer from Georgia Tech could be, if he comes out early, a top 15-20 pick. Jahvid Best from Cal is a little undersized, but he could be in that 20-32 range. The two underclassmen could go ahead of any senior running backs. Dwyer certainly will be.”
A call to Kiper’s headquarters was not returned Thursday.
Dwyer was named the ACC player of the year last season after rushing for 1,395 yards and 12 touchdowns. He’s also the preseason player of the year this season.
