SW Atlanta liquor store hit in smash-and-grab
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Atlanta Police believe four males were involved in a smash-and-grab robbery at a liquor store in southwest Atlanta.
The robbery occurred sometime around 3 a.m. Sunday at the Tana Beer & Wine liquor store on Lee Street.
When police arrived, they found the security gate of the establishment smashed open, Eric Schwartz with the Atlanta Police Department told the AJC.
Police found a damaged red Ford Taurus still running during a search of the area.
Another establishment was also robbed early Sunday morning in the 800 block of Cascade Avenue.
However, police are not saying whether they think this incident is connected to the liquor store robbery.
“At this time, no arrests have been made," Schwartz said. "Both incidents are actively being investigated."
