Andrew Cawood, 34, of Marietta, won the fifth Allstate Life Insurance Atlanta half marathon, which had a course that took runners through Brookhaven and Chamblee, in a time of one hour, 17 minutes, 39 seconds on Sunday morning. Jonathan Koch, of Atlanta, was second (1:18:59) and Paul Duckett of Dallas, Texas, was third (1:19:31).

“The weather was perfect, the course was tough and the race was extremely well organized,” Cawood said.

Among 3,600 runners, Bridget Lyons, of Augusta, was first in the women’s division (1:22:16) followed by Lauren Blankenship, of Smyrna (1:26:26) and Erika Shaughnessy, of Douglasville (1:26:50).
