Atlanta Fire Investigators confirm a fire set at a food mart in southeast Atlanta was set intentionally.

Atlanta Fire Rescue responded to a reported business fire at the Little Bear Food Mart, at 1660 Jonesboro Rd. The fire is believed to have been set shortly before 7 a.m. Friday morning.

Surveillance video shows the arson suspect taking items from the store and then starting a fire before leaving.

“Witnesses report seeing a black male with four inch twisted braids or dreadlock style hair and goatee fleeing the scene,” said fire officials. “[He was] wearing a grey sweater or sweatshirt standing at 5’7”, weighing approximately 210lbs.”

A reward, of up to $10,000, is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for arson.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Atlanta Arson Hotline at 404-546-4328 or Georgia Arson Control at 1-800-282-5804.
