Rain to last through Tuesday
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Metro Atlantans, grab your jackets and umbrellas and brace yourselves for more rain and chilly temperatures.
Over the next couple of days, the chances of rain will drop from 60 to 20 percent, said meteorologists with the National Weather Service.
“Tonight there is a 60 percent chance of rain with light drizzle after midnight and temperatures in the low 40s,” said Mike Leary, NWS meteorologist.
Monday there is a 20 percent chance of rain in the early morning and highs in the low 50s. After midnight, said Leary, drizzle and fog will develop.
And Tuesday, rain will be off and on.
“Monday night will see lows in the 40s as well and Tuesday there is a 20 percent chance of rain,” Leary said.
But it gets better.
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday it will be dry and sunny.
“This is a typical fall pattern for [the Atlanta area],” said Leary.
Sometime after midnight Sunday, rain crept into the metro Atlanta. By 5 p.m. forecasters reported a little more than half an inch of rain had fallen.
