Rain chance persists through weekend
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
It's been a wetter-than-normal May, and the chance for more rain persists throughout the weekend.
The forecast calls for a 20 to 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Thursday and Friday, with a 50 percent chance on Saturday and Sunday.
High temperatures will be in the low 80s Thursday through Saturday, with lows in the lower 60s. Sunday will be mostly cloudy and cooler, the highs in the mid-70s.
The National Weather Service registered only a trace of rain Wednesday at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, but some metro areas received a tenth of an inch.
The city's rainfall total for May is 2.39 inches, nearly an inch above normal.
