Q. In a recent column, I saw that there was tuition-free education offered to seniors 62 and older. Can you confirm that? — Sheila Pryor, Jonesboro

A. Georgia law allows Georgians 62 years or older to attend public colleges and universities for free. Individuals can enroll to audit courses, take individual classes or seek a degree, where space is available, according to the University System of Georgia, which oversees the state’s public colleges and universities. The rule excludes dental, medical, veterinary or law schools from the free tuition program. Individuals must be 62 or older at the time of registration, and in most cases, meet system and institution undergraduate or graduate admission requirements.

Q. What are the academic credentials of Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly and Glenn Beck? — Sarah Cooper,
Gainesville

A. O’Reilly graduated from Marist College with a bachelor’s in history, earned a master’s in broadcast journalism from Boston University and a master’s in public administration from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government, according to his FOX News bio. Limbaugh dropped out of Southeast Missouri State University and Hannity dropped out of Adelphi University and New York University, according to profiles of the conservative radio hosts in the New York Times. The bio on Beck’s Web site says that after graduating from high school he began to work for Top 40 radio stations.
