Kaila Van Orden, 30, was found unconscious in her car Oct. 22 after using a syringe filled with heroin inside a Cornville home, the television station reported.

Van Orden's daughter became upset when she found her mother using a syringe in the bathroom of the home, the Arizona Republic reported, citing a release from the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office.

"Kaila’s daughter told deputies she became very upset and both walked outside to get into their car," the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. "Kaila then fell ‘asleep’ according to her daughter, who did not have initial concern because she has seen this happen to her mom before following drug usage."

The girl became scared when she was unable to awaken Van Orden, the Republic reported. She ran into the home and alerted the residents, identified as Rachel Fools, 30, and Adam Hale, 33, When they were unable to rouse Van Orden, the couple called 911.

Police said they found methamphetamine and heroin in Van Orden's car, the Republic reported. Two syringes were also seized from her jacket before she was taken to the hospital, police said.

Investigators said there was evidence of drug sales in the home and arrested Fools and Hale, KGUN reported. Both have posted bail; Van Orden is being held without bond due to a probation violation, the television station reported.
