East Point police are looking for a man they believe may know what happened to a 64-year-old man found dead in his home Saturday evening.

Gregory Allen Cooper, believed to be about 55 or 56-years-old, was the roommate of the unnamed victim, said East Point police spokesman, Det. Cliff Chandler.

Cooper, who had been the deceased man's roommate on Ben Hill Road for about 10 years, went missing Thursday, the same day police believe the man was shot and killed.

The victim's son had not heard from his father in a couple days, so he went over to the house to check on him, Chandler said. He found his father, who had been shot multiple times, in a bedroom.

An autopsy will help determine exactly when the killing occurred, Chandler said.

Police have no suspects or a motive at this point and are asking anyone with information to call 404-559-6284.
