Omarosa to be interviewed on . . . Meet the Press?

Somewhere Edward R. Murrow is rolling over.

Yes, we know the venerable CBS newsman wasn’t the host of “Meet the Press.” Which would probably thrill him right now that word is out about the storied NBC news program’s big get for this Sunday:

Omarosa.

“MTP EXCLUSIVE: OMAROSA MANIGAULT NEWMAN JOINS CHUCK TODD THIS SUNDAY” the all-caps release that was just sent out breathlessly screamed.

Manigault Newman will be interviewed about her new tell-all book, “Unhinged: An Insider's Account of the Trump White House.”

That insider status ended abruptly last December when she was fired from her job as as assistant to the president and director of communications for the White House Office of Public Liaison (According to Politico, chief of staff John Kelly gave her her walking papers for abusing the White House car service).

Then it was on to "Celebrity Big Brother," where she was one of the last five contestants standing before getting evicted.

Honestly, it's hard to know when she found time to write a book. But write one she did and her publisher promises it will be "jawdropping."

Not as jawdropping, of course, as the thought of supposed serious political host Chuck Todd interviewing her. But maybe it’s not that surprising -- Omarosa (and President Trump, in fact) both go way back with NBC, courtesy of their starmaking turns on “The Apprentice.”

In fact, Manigault Newman will be right back on the network the next day, when she joins “Today” for what’s being billed “an exclusive morning show interview.”

Not jawdropping at all.
