A Fulton County high school student apparently punched his school bus driver in the face on the last day of school and then ran as he got off the bus Friday afternoon.

"We have his address and we're looking for him," Lt. James McGee with Roswell police told the AJC.

The bus driver is at North Fulton Hospital with a possible broken nose, according to Allison Toller, spokeswoman for the school district. He was bleeding profusely at the scene, McGee said.

The Centennial High School student apparently was unprovoked when he hit the driver, according to witnesses, Toller said. The incident happened on Holcomb Bridge Road, and was not at the student's usual bus stop, McGee said.

Friday was the last day of school for students in the district.

Roswell police and Fulton school police are investigating the incident. The student's identity has not been released.
