Police are looking for two men believed to have robbed a Sandy Springs pawn shop Thursday at gunpoint.

The two men walked into the Pawn Express at 8845 Roswell Road just after 11 a.m.

They entered the store separately, one man tried to sell a fake Rolex watch while the other started looking at video games at the front of the store, police said.

Both were armed, Sandy Springs police spokesman Lt. Steve Rose said. The store owner sustained severe facial bruising after being struck.

Rose said investigators believe the men were familiar with the store's operations, because one of them opened the shop's safe. They didn't take any money, but stole a .44 caliber revolver that was missing its hammer.

Both suspects were described as black men in their early to mid 20s, each standing approximately 6 feet to 6-feet-2-inches tall, police said.

One man wore a red baseball cap with an unknown white logo, a red short-sleeved T-shirt with gold writing on the front and back, a white long-sleeved shirt underneath, dark jeans and dark sneakers with white soles and red shoe laces.

The second man wore a red fitted baseball cap with red bill, a black or dark colored hooded sweatshirt with white trim around the cuffs and waist and dark jeans.

Anyone with information on the identity of the suspects is asked to contact the Sandy Spings Police Detective Unit at 770-551-3314.
