Roswell to begin State Road 9 improvements
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Drivers can expect delays as the Roswell Department of Transportation begins construction Monday on a yearlong project on State Road 9 / Alpharetta Highway.
The city said no lane lanes will be closed but traffic will be slowed. The contractor will start work at Norcross Street and continue north toward Mansell Circle in quarter mile increments.
This project includes sidewalk and drainage improvements and a new center turn lane. The road will be beautified from Norcross Street to Mansell Place as part of the Livable Communities Initiative program. The LCI is a grant program administered by the Atlanta Regional Commission.
Total cost of the project is estimated at $2 million. The city’s budgeted cost is $405,126.
