Road rage spurs assault in Sandy Springs
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
It's not uncommon for traffic to make tempers boil in Sandy Springs, but rarely does it bring people to blows.
A man driving a red sports car near Abernathy Road and Roswell Road on Monday afternoon apparently became angry because a woman driving ahead of him slowed down in traffic. Once they stopped at the intersection the man got out of his car, uttered some choice words to the female driver and then punched her in the face.
He sped away, but not before the woman got his tag number. The victim was treated and released at an area hospital. She passed the tag number along to Sandy Springs investigators, who are following up on the case, according to department spokesman Lt. Steve Rose.
