Rabies clinic offered in Sandy Springs
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Fulton County Animal Services will host a low-cost license and rabies clinic in Sandy Springs next weekend, a month after officials confirmed a cat in the city had tested positive for the disease.
The vaccination clinic runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 31 at the Big Trees Forest Preserve, 7645 Roswell Road.
A cat infected with rabies was found in the 8700 block of Roswell Road in September. It was the first positive case in a domestic animal reported in Fulton County this year.
Fulton County law requires all cats and dogs that are at least four-months old to receive yearly rabies vaccinations and wear a county license. License tags are available from animal services’ office on Marietta Boulevard in Atlanta.
