Police release suspect descriptions in Sandy Springs home invasion
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Police Wednesday released detailed descriptions of two gunmen who burst into an upscale Sandy Springs home on Tuesday and fired several shots at the residents.
No one was hit by the gunfire in the 9:25 a.m. home invasion on Stables Drive, Sandy Springs police Lt. Steve Rose said.
The victims, two men and two women, told police two men forced their way into the home and shots were fired, Rose said. Two people in the home were injured, but not by gunfire.
Rose said Wednesday that the two suspects are black males in the 20s. The first suspect was about 5 feet, 9 inches tall, with a thin build, and armed with a .40 caliber semi-automatic pistol with a laser sight. Rose said that gunman "emptied his entire magazine inside the house shooting at the victim."
Rose described the second suspect as, "overweight, possibly with corn rows." He said the man, who is about 6 feet tall and weighs about 280 to 290 pounds, was also armed with a semi-automatic pistol with a laser sight.
Rose said the first suspect called the second "Marco."
The suspects were driving a silver Dodge Charger with Nevada license plates, he said.
