Northview High's Zuniga earns Bronze Cross for Achievement

Northview High School senior Ashley N. Zuniga has earned one of the highest honors in the U.S. Army's Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps program, as the Legion of Valor of the United States of America awarded her its Bronze Cross for Achievement.
The award represents the top 1 percent of Army JROTC cadets and is presented annually for exceptional academic achievement, leadership and community involvement.
Zuniga has a 3.94 grade point average. She is a member of the National Honor Society and the 21st Century Leaders Club, has attended Girls State and Naval Academy Summer Leadership programs and presented on learning and teaching strategies at this year's state career and technical education conference. She is seeking an appointment to the U. S. Naval Academy.
