Mountain Park will hold a town hall meeting at 7 p.m. today to discuss reducing the size of the council or shortening the terms of office.

This town of about 500 on the northern edge of Fulton County has trouble finding candidates.  Four seats are open for Tuesday’s election, but candidates only qualified for three. The town will hold a special election in March for the empty seat, or the council will appoint a new member, said Town Clerk Karen Segars.

The meeting will be held in the community building at 100 Lakeshore Drive.
