The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Roswell police have identified the man who was shot and killed Sunday night.
Ismael Cervantes Orta, 42, was shot at the Frazier Street Apartments at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, police said.
Orta was shot in the chest as he was exiting his pickup truck at the apartment complex, Roswell Police Lt. James McGee told the AJC.
He then staggered toward one of the apartments. A resident told police he heard what sounded like a gunshot, followed by a knock at the door. He opened the door to find Orta lying there, police said.
Orta was taken to North Fulton Regional Hospital where he later died, police said.
Police continue to investigate and said they have few leads at this point. Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS.
