A third man has been arrested in connection with a double homicide last month in a Sandy Springs apartment.

James Platt was arrested without incident Friday evening at a Decatur home, according to Lt. Steve Rose with Sandy Springs police. U.S. Marshals assisted in the arrest.

Platt is charged in the shootings and deaths of Santos Palacios Vasquez and Antonio Clark in the evening hours of Sept. 28. Vasquez was found dead at the scene after neighbors reported a water leak from the apartment. Clark, also shot and found in the apartment, died later that night at Grady Hospital.

Two other men -- Delmon Hernandez and Jarrett Dixon -were taken in custody earlier this week for their roles in the killings.

Hernandez was found at Northside Hospital with a gunshot wound after the killings. Detectives later charged him with murder as well as drug-related charges. Dixon was also shot in the apartment but escaped the area prior to the arrival of police.

Platt will make his first appearance Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Fulton County jail, Rose said.
