Compost bins, rain barrels to be distributed in Alpharetta

Alpharetta, Roswell and Fulton County will hold a backyard compost bin and rain barrel distribution event May 1 at the Alpharetta Engineering/Public Works Department.

This green initiative will feature Earth Machine backyard compost bins. Bins and rain barrels will be sold for $45 and $55 on a first-come-first-served basis.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The public works department is at 1790 Hembree Road in Alpharetta.
