The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

A home invasion in Henry County left a woman fatally shot and her husband hospitalized, police said Saturday.

The shootings occurred in the 600 block of Sowell Street in McDonough just before 2:30 a.m., police told Channel 2 Action News.

Police said a man and woman entered the residence with guns and struggled with the couple.

Stacy West, 42, who was shot, was taken to Henry Medical Center, where she died. Her husband, whom police did not immediately identify but relatives identified as Chris West, was not shot but was injured in the struggle and taken to a local hospital, Channel 2 reported.

A 19-year-old was also in the home at the time but police said he was not injured.

The case remained under investigation.
