Students from Cobb, Cherokee counties win scholarships

Allianz Life Insurance Co.of North America has awarded $3,000 scholarships to the children of two employees living in Georgia. The scholarships are based on academic performance and community service participation in areas such as social welfare and education. Local recipients are Mackenzie Jones and Andrew Elson. Jones is a graduate of North Cobb High School Kennesaw and attends Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville. Elson is a graduate of Etowah High School in Woodstock and attends the University of Georgia.
