Students at The Goddard Schools fundraise for charity

By Nancy Badertscher

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

To celebrate The Goddard School’s national 25th anniversary, the 28 schools in Atlanta raised more than $9,000 for the local Ronald McDonald House Charities®. Their fund-raising, combined with that of other Goddard Schools nationwide, brought in $185,000 for the charity in one month. “This clearly demonstrates that when we work together, we can accomplish great things for our communities,” said Joe Schumacher, chief executive officer for Goddard Systems, Inc. In addition to collecting monetary donations, children at The Goddard Schools in Atlanta created birthday cards for the Atlanta RMHC Chapter. The birthday cards will be distributed throughout the year by RMHC directors to pediatric patients or family members who are celebrating birthdays in the hospital.
