By Alexis Stevens

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

After an altercation with another man inside a Sandy Springs bar, Ellis Alfoncoe Blue got into his car to leave. He never made it out the parking lot, according to police.

The man Blue argued with allegedly followed him outside Morgan Falls Billiards Bar on Roswell Road around 2:15 a.m. on Sept. 15, Capt. Steve Rose with Sandy Springs police said.

As Blue sat in the driver’s seat and his wife sat in the passenger’s seat, the unknown suspect fired multiple shots into the car, hitting Blue, Rose said. Blue, 36, was transported to North Fulton Hospital, where he died, according to police.

The suspect has been seen in the area previously and may be familiar to area residents, according to police. He was wearing a white shirt with colorful printing on the front, blue denim shorts, knee-length, white socks pulled up high, and glasses.

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to contact Detective M. Tuvlin at 770-551-3312 or mtuvlin@sandyspringsga.gov.
