Passenger killed in Clayton County wreck

By Alexis Stevens

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

A Florida man died Monday night when the car he was traveling in struck the median and overturned several times in Clayton County, according to police.

Investigators believe that Tommie Jason Robinson Jr., of Atlanta, was driving northbound on I-75 at a high rate of speed when he over-corrected and struck the median wall around 11:30 p.m. near Old Dixie Highway, Clayton County police said.

The impact caused the car to overturn several times, causing Robinson’s passenger to strike his head on the pavement, police said. The passenger, Eddie Justin Alexander, of Kissimmee, Fla., died at the scene of the wreck.

Robinson, whose age was not released, was transported to Atlanta Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, according to police.

The wreck remained under investigation late Tuesday.
