The man that died after being ejected from his Jeep in a crash on I-75 has been identified as a 34-year-old Cobb County man, police said Tuesday.
Delaney Floyd, of Kennesaw, was driving a Jeep Wrangler that collided with a Dodge pickup truck and overturned just after noon Monday on I-75 at South Marietta Parkway, according to Officer Michael Gardner with Marietta police. Both vehicles were northbound on I-75 at the time of the crash, he said.
Floyd was thrown from his vehicle. He was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital, where he later died, Gardner said. The truck’s driver was not injured.
Three right lanes of I-75 northbound were blocked for nearly two hours while the wreck was investigated, Gardner said. The accident remained under investigation Monday afternoon, and charges were pending, according to police.
