All lanes have reopened on the top-end Perimeter after a multi-vehicle wreck backed up traffic for miles on I-285.

The Georgia Department of Transportation said four of six lanes were blocked in the westbound lanes just east of Ashford Dunwoody Road in DeKalb County.

Traffic was backed up for 4 miles and motorists were urged to avoid the area, the DOT said.

All lanes were reopened by 3 p.m., Dunwoody police said.
