I-285 reopens after truck wreck blocks eastbound lanes near Jonesboro Road

By Mike Morris

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

The eastbound lanes of I-285 on the southside have reopened following a truck wreck that at times shut down all lanes during the late stages of Monday’s morning commute.

The wreck, which involved an overturned box truck and a tractor-trailer, happened about 9:30 a.m. on I-285 eastbound near Jonesboro Road.

The three left lanes were blocked, and officials were at times stopping traffic in all eastbound lanes.

There were no immediate reports of serious injuries.

The trucks were removed and all lanes reopened just before 10:15 a.m.
