Sheep work with students to create hiking trail

By Mark Niesse

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

More than 100 sheep and goats were recently brought to Perkerson Elementary to eat invasive plants, making way for the school to develop hiking trails.

Now that the animals trimmed plants from the south Atlanta school’s urban forest, students will help design ways for the school and community to use the hiking trails.

The animals were provided by Trees Atlanta, an education partner with Perkerson Elementary.
