Public hearing Tuesday to address pipeline concerns

By April Hunt

Residents in central DeKalb County can get more information about a proposed gas pipeline and regulator in their area at a town hall meeting Tuesday.

Atlanta Gas Light will host the meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Hellenic Community Center at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 2500 Clairmont Road.

The session will address the proposed pipeline through the Clairmont Road neighborhoods and as well as the call for a new regulator station.

Some residents have complained the regulator, which reduces pressure as gas travels through the pipeline, is a safety hazard that does not fit with their residential area.
