By Mike Morris

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

A 19-year-old Marietta man killed in an auto accident earlier this week has been identified.

David Munlyn died in a three-vehicle crash just after 11 p.m. Tuesday on South Cobb Drive near Walker Street, Cobb police Sgt. Dana Pierce said Thursday.

Pierce said that the preliminary investigation indicates that Munlyn, the driver of an eastbound Kia Spectra crossed into the westbound lanes, striking a Lexus RX350. After the Kia and Lexus came to a stop, those vehicles were hit by a Chrysler PT Cruiser.

Munlyn died at the scene, Pierce said.

The Lexus driver, 38-year-old Cherise Brown of Marietta, was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, Pierce said. The Chrysler driver was not injured.

No charges will be filed in the accident.
