MJCCA program tackles battle of the waistlines

One of the greatest health fights taking place in the United States today is the one against obesity.

The Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta will sponsor a program looking at the obesity epidemic from 1 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. March 10 at 5342 Tilly Mill Road. The program is being held in conjunction with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The program will include clips from the HBO documentary, “The Weight of The Nation, which will be followed by a panel discussion and wellness fair.

The program is free, but seating is limited. For information, go to www.atlantajcc.org.

There will be a free fitness class from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. for children during the viewing.
