Gwinnett applies for congestion relief funding

Gwinnett County has applied for $600,000 in state funding that will allow it to fund projects intended to relieve congestion along state routes.

The projects, funded under a Georgia Department of Transportation Quick Response contract, will extend left turn lanes at the following locations: on Buford Highway southbound at South Lee Street; on Scenic Highway northbound at Jackson Street; on Grayson Highway northbound at Webb Gin House Road; on Lawrenceville Suwanee Road northbound at Satellite Blvd.; on Beaver Ruin Road eastbound on the west side of the I-85 interchange; and Buford Highway southbound at South Scales Rd.
