Class is back in session at Chestnut Log Middle School in Douglas after a bomb threat early Friday morning forced students and faculty to evacuate.

Sheriff’s deputies utilized bomb-sniffing dogs to check the campus, said Douglas County schools’ spokeswoman Karen Stroud, as students waited outside the school for more than an hour. Chestnut Log re-opened around 11:45 a.m.

Stoud said it is unclear who made the threat. The Douglas sheriff’s office is investigating.
