The Dalai Lama will return to metro Atlanta this week for a series of events at the Arena at Gwinnett Center and at Emory University, where he serves as Presidential Distinguished Professor.

He will lecture on “The Pillars of Responsible Citizenship in the 21st Century Global Village” from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Gwinnett Arena, and will participate in a panel discussion from 1 to 3 p.m. on “Secular Ethics and Education.”

Both Gwinnett events are open to the public, with ticket information available at gwinnettcenter.com.

The Dalai Lama will spend Wednesday and Thursday teaching on the Emory campus.

The last visit to Emory by the 1989 Nobel Laureate was in 2010. He was named Presidential Distinguished Professor in 2007.
